When you're fab you're fab

My name is Heather and I’m stingy when it comes to clothing which is a secret I’ve carried these past eight years.
Now such a confession would lead you to believe that I resemble a homeless bag lady living outside a McDonalds but nothing can be further from the truth.
I’m stingy but I’m also stylish.
When you make next to nothing during University and High school and you’re constantly told you need to dress like a star you learn quite a few tricks.
A few years ago I realized that the most common question I get asked besides “ what time is it?” or “ Is your brother acting crazy again” is of course “ WHERE DID YOU GET THAT OUTFIT?” now I’ve decided to depart this knowledge onto all of you.
Welcome to Stingy Stitches, here are some rules to help you on your quest towards Bargain Shopping.
1: Just because something designer is on sale it doesn’t mean it will look good on you. Quite often designer clothes are made for specific body shapes and as wonderful as it sounds owning a genuine One Tea Spoon Smock Dress because it’s fifty percent off it doesn’t mean it will look wonderful on you. Never ever buy something straight off the wrack just because it’s cheap, always try it on, and always look at yourself in the mirror.
If you can honestly say you’d tap that then buy it.
2: Do not knock off knock offs. See that gorgeous three hundred dollar sundress in this week’s issue of Famous or NW Magazine? Chances are you can get an exact replica for no less then forty dollars at boutiques such as SES, Valley Girl, or TEMPT. Unless you are running with the clubbing Paris Hilton socialite crowd (which makes up 00000.1 of the worlds population) your friends will only see you in a pretty dress not a particular label. It’s all about you looking amazing not about the name sewn into the dresses collar.
3: Sometimes things are cheap because they have a lose stitch or the color is completely different from the other dresses. If you can live with this buy it if however it has a huge suspicious stain on the front then run away.
The rules will start you on the path of having a funky wardrobe that actually suites you at affordable prices.
Keep checking this blog three times a week to see where you should go to find these bargains.
