One of the big fashion trends to explode across Australia is the return of the giant over sized sunglasses a look pioneered by Jackie O in the early sixties.
Personally I love this trend because its both functional and quirky, seriously guys in our climate the more of your face covered with dark glasses the BETTER after all nothing says bogan like a tanned face wrinkled with sun damage.
The only problem is that celebrities have jumped onto this style with a vengence meaning its impossible to buy a cheap pair of sunnies in this particuler style.
Well personally I flatout refuse to believe in impossible I mean I still believe in aliens and evil spirits ( making me a bit paranoid I must admit) and I managed to find the big sunglasses at a cheap price.
Where? at the duty free shops littering Sydney's CBD.These duty free shops have been around for years and they're basically shelled out bustling markets with plastic stands filled with duty free items.
All the sunglasses cost $4:95 and they are a hundred percent UV protected, why so cheap? well they are plastic frames instead of metal but lets face it the big sunglasses fad is all about fantastic plastic.
Really Long Link[/IMG] this lovely pair which I think personally happens to be the biggest pair of sunglasses ever set me back a cool :4.95 at the duty free store last week.
However if trecking out to the city isnt really your thing then I suggest you head for your local Westfields and track down a GRABIT store. GRABIT stores are easily recognised as those open plan stores that sell wracks of makeup for less then a couple of dollars.
Usually they go under this exciting name however sometimes they have other names, depends on the city you're in. Anyway as well as makeup they also sell an exciting range of five dollar sunglasses! so good luck y'all.
