Designer Rentals. (LINK)

Every single chick magazine I’ve read this month has bombarded me with shout outs to www.lovemeandleaveme.com the website where you can apparently rent designer items at a fraction of their cost. The website is simple, members can rent a designer item on a weekly or monthly basis then send it back once they are done.
But is it really that simple?
The first rule of fashion is if you are wearing something that doesn’t belong to you chances are within three hours it will be, stolen, trashed or covered in some one else’s vomit.
I have on many occasions for example accidentally destroyed my mother’s earrings, purses and necklaces.
My fashion philosophy? Never ever buy what you can own.
Secondly despite the fact that they’re already cleaning up by charging you two hundred dollars a month for a purse the website demands a monthly rental fee. Yes, unlike actual video stores and car rentals that only make you pay for what they rent the site demands a fee!
I asked my friend Mel if she would ever consider paying a monthly fee then two hundred dollars a month for each purse she rented and her response was “ um no”.
Thirdly yes I admit I’m stingy hence the name of this blog but I just don’t believe in over the top expensive bags. Even spending two hundred dollars a month renting a bag is beyond a joke! It’s not a car or a house! Besides with the two hundred dollars a month you could do the following.
1: Sponsor five needy children through www.childfund.org.au
2: Give the National Breast Cancer foundation a helping hand during October’s pink month http://www.nbcf.org.au/.
3: Go without renting the bad for six months and instead go on a holiday to Thailand.
